Dr. Ferretti recognizes the simple, but irrefutable fact that the natural state of the bodymind is health and therefore, sickness is a result of some interference to the bodymind’s natural abilities.
Health can never be restored in any way other than providing the body with something it needs, but is lacking and/or by preventing the entry and/or accumulation of toxins to which the bodymind is being exposed. When interferences to the bodymind’s healing abilities are removed and essential natural raw materials required for the expression of health are provided an increase in health and wellbeing will ensue.
Dr. Ferretti received her doctorate in chiropractic from C.M.C.C. and undertook a Fellowship in Pregnancy and Pediatrics with Life College. She trained with Dr. Larry Webster, developer of the Webster Breech Turning Technique, now known as the In-Utero Constraint Technique. She continued to increase her knowledge and skills in the area of pregnancy and pediatrics with the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association’s Certification in Pregnancy and Pediatrics Programme. Dr. Ferretti has served on the board for the Ontario Midwifery Association.
She has been a guest lecturer at McMaster University for the Midwifery Programme, at Mother Touch Expo, and at public schools in her community, in addition to teaching Pregnancy and Birth Classes to the general public; Dr. Ferretti has served as Preceptor to chiropractic students of Palmer Chiropractic College. As a mother of three and a life partner, Dr. Ferretti feels it is her responsibility to continue to keep current in scientifically based healthy living strategies in order to teach her own family and her community how to make choices in dietary requirements, physical exercise, and emotional/mental attitude that will result in the expression of optimal health.
In November, 2009 Dr. Ferretti earned the title of Certified Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner (C.C.W.P.) after having successfully passed a comprehensive final examination following completion of the course work and other requirements of the programme. She was awarded the C.C.W.P. status by the Council for Wellness Science of the International Chiropractic Association and is one of the first doctors of chiropractic to successfully complete the comprehensive postgraduate educational programme. She presently serves on the Council for Wellness Science.
Chiropractic endeavors to provide physiological compatible care in order to support the human being’s innate abilities to adapt to the environment and maintain and/or regain homeostasis and health.
The overwhelming amount of clinical data available showing beyond any reasonable doubt that chiropractic adjustments change physiology make chiropractic care a logical choice in the attainment and maintenance of one’s health strategies.
Dr. Ferretti has studied various approaches within and beyond the field of chiropractic techniques to enable her to assist people of all ages and life challenges.
